2. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted with Cloudflare, Inc. (San Francisco, USA). When you access the site, Cloudflare processes technically necessary connection data — in particular IP address, page requested, time, browser type and operating system — to deliver the content and to ensure security (attack mitigation, bot detection). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We have no access to this raw data; Cloudflare stores it only briefly and then deletes or aggregates it. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Cloudflare; any transfer to the USA is based on Cloudflare's certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and, in addition, on the EU Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
Cloudflare may set a technically necessary cookie for bot detection; it is required for the secure provision of the website and does not require consent. Beyond that, this website sets no cookies and uses no tracking, analytics or marketing services, so no consent banner is required. Fonts are served locally from our own server; accessing this website transmits no data to Google.
3. Contact by email
If you contact us by email, we process the data you provide (email address, name, content of your message) solely to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures), otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The data is deleted once it is no longer required and no statutory retention obligations apply.
Our mailbox is operated via Google Workspace, provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland); a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Google. Insofar as a transfer to the USA occurs, it is based on Google LLC's certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and, in addition, on the EU Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
4. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and the right to object (Art. 21). To exercise these, a message to info@argus-inspect.com is sufficient.
You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The competent authority is Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit, Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin, Germany.
